NO WORKSHOP this Saturday as it is a holiday weekend, but you are welcome to join Daniel and Myself at the Los Angeles Zoo where we are doing shows Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I am hoping to get a family class going at McCabes soon, so if you are interested, please send me a message!

Next weekend Guest instructor FRED SOKOLOW Demystifies Chord Changes with you while we are in REno with the Reno Ukulele Festival and have the pleasure of hanging out with Craig and Sarah!

Here is the schedule for the next few weeks at McCabes:

4/19 No class- holiday weekend

4/26 Special guest instructor FRED SOKOLOW: Demystifying Chord Progressions    Fred demystifies how chord progressions work, and acquaints you with many much-used chord patterns. Once you know this stuff, it’s so much easier to learn new songs…You’ll find it also improves your ear and helps you understand how music works in general. We’ll look at lots of popular songs and see what makes them tick, chord-wise. Bring recordings of your favorites to analyze (CDs, ipods, whatever).

5/3 I GOT MY START IN NASHVILLE with Heidi Swedberg and Daniel Ward picking up the uke for the first time or continuing your knowledge, all levels can learn something about theory and notation while playing and singing great songs together. Get acquainted with the I, IV, V and the Circle of Fifths.

5/10 WHAT THE PLUCK?! With Heidi Swedberg and Daniel Ward All levels are invited to learn plucking patterns. Simple and beautiful ways to give dimension to accompaniments, great tool for songwriting!

WE WILL RAFFLE A NEW KALA TRAVEL TENOR AFTER THE MAY 5TH CLASS- ALL WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS ARE ENTERED!
